BUS 400 Social Entrepreneurship Course
January 23, 2017 - May 4, 2017
The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, along with the Division of Outreach and Continuing Education and the McLean Institute, will teach a course in social entrepreneurship in the 2017 Spring semester with Dr. Clay Dibrell and Dr. JR Love co-teaching. The course is open to students of all majors and no prerequisites are needed to participate, but students are required to travel to the Mississippi Delta. Focus is on the special problems and skills involved in solving economic or social problems which exist in a community through entrepreneurship. Students will learn through a week of classroom education in Oxford, MS, and through an experiential learning experience in a community in Mississippi, taking the benefits of higher education outside of the classroom and to the community and region.
